NEW! Heritage Recipe
Collective
A new initiative debuts this month which seeks to celebrate and share the personal family recipes within the Milford community. Erin, our Circulation Department Assistant Librarian, a passionate baker and cook. will be facilitating the collective.
The idea originated from a cherished cookbook her mother gifted her that had beloved recipes from their home community going back almost 100 years. She was also inspired by some of the many local cookbooks from the Paul E. Curran Historical Collection.
In addition, this project will celebrate Milford's many cultures. Erin hopes that members of our community feel welcome and to be part of something that celebrates something special about this community while also reminding them of precious home connections
To get things off to a delicious start, Erin will be trying a recipe from a vintage Milford Junior Women’s Club cookbook. Stop by the week of July 18 for a yummy sample and learn how you can contribute some of your own recipes to the collective.
