Fuel Assistance
Recertification 2023-2024
If you were approved for Fuel Assistance last year, you should be receiving a preprinted application form in August directly from SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council) for the upcoming heating season. To avoid delays in receiving your benefit, gather your documents early and consider having your forms reviewed by our staff prior to submitting. Early submission can mean earlier approval, sometimes prior to the start of the heating season. If you are a Mendon resident and require assistance with your recertification or do not receive your form by August 31, please contact Janet Hubener, Outreach Coordinator, with the Mendon Senior Center at 508-478-6175.
Note ~ the process for first time applicants does not begin until November 1, 2023. However, you may pre-register by requesting an information packet at this time from the Mendon Senior Center.
