Mendon-Upton Regional School District Superintendent Maureen Cohen and Nipmuc Regional High School Co-Principals John Clements and Mary Anne Moran are pleased to share that Nipmuc recently hosted its third annual English Language Arts Night, during which 42 students were inducted into the National English Honor Society.
The third annual English Language Arts Night was held on Thursday, April 4, at Nipmuc Regional High School.
Each year, the English Language Arts Night serves as an opportunity for community members to see students' achievements in English Language Arts classes and learn how the skills they develop in class inspire their interests and pursuits beyond the classroom.
Throughout the night, attendees enjoyed a variety of live student presentations, readings and performances that showcased students’ passion and talents as they relate to English Language Arts. One of the sessions included a Spoken-Word Poetry session, hosted in the media center and other sessions ranged from discussions of The Importance of Preserving Literature, while other sessions focused on Looking in Between the Lines-an Exploration of Lyricism.
