Man arrested after striking woman and child with motor vehicle

On Nov. 20, at approximately 5:21 a.m., Luis Cajilema Tene, 28 of Milford, was arrested on a Continental United States Warrant by the Milford Police Detective Bureau, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, and the US Marshals Service.
On Nov. 10, at 8:15 a.m., Cajilema Tene struck a female pedestrian, carrying her 2-year-old child, with a grey sedan he was operating on Central Street. The suspect fled the scene and the state of Massachusetts to avoid capture.
Over the following 10 days, a coordinated investigation between the Milford Police Detective Bureau, VFAS, and US Marshals Service, tracked the suspect's movement before receiving information he would be returning to Milford.
On the morning of Nov. 20, while conducting surveillance on Central Street, Milford Police Detectives, VFAS, and US Marshals took Luis Cajilema Tene into custody without incident. He was later transported to Milford District Court for arraignment on the following charges: assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14, reckless endangerment of a child, and two counts of assault and battery.
